Privacy policy

Policy version 2026-11-01

This website showcases the Oak & Ivy studio. It does not take bookings, payments or guest registrations — all reservations are made on Airbnb, under Airbnb’s own terms and privacy policy.

What we collect, and only with your consent

If you choose Accept analytics, we use our own first-party analytics to understand how the website is used. We collect:

  • a random visitor ID and session ID created in your browser (not linked to your name, email or phone);
  • pages viewed, scroll depth, time on page, photos opened, and clicks on booking, Instagram, email and map links;
  • the website that referred you (domain only) and campaign tags in the link you followed (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term);
  • general device type, browser and operating system (e.g. “mobile, Safari, iOS”);
  • approximate country and city, as provided by our hosting provider — never precise location.

What we never collect

  • Your IP address is not stored. A one-way, rotating hash may be used briefly to prevent abuse (rate limiting).
  • No names, email addresses, phone numbers, passwords, GPS coordinates or payment details.
  • No device fingerprinting, no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, no data sold or shared for advertising.

If you reject analytics

Nothing is recorded about your visit. We store only your choice in your browser so we don’t ask again. You can change your choice at any time:

Storage on your device

We use your browser’s local storage for your consent choice and — only if you accept — your random visitor and session IDs. We do not set analytics cookies. The optional Google Maps view on the Location page loads only when you click “Show map”, and Google’s own terms apply to it.

Retention

Analytics data is kept for up to 12 months and then deleted automatically. Reports use aggregated figures.

Your choices and rights

You can withdraw consent at any time using “Privacy choices” in the footer, which also deletes the analytics identifiers from your browser. Because we do not know who you are, we cannot link stored analytics to you personally. For questions about this policy, message us on Instagram.
